My name is Conor McCarthy. I am a 29-year-old Irishman currently working as a Data Analyst in Denmark. I have a passion for football (not so much the American kind) and love analysing and creating visualizations. 

I have had a paper published in Springer’s Machine Learning and Data Mining for Sports Analytics 2022, which you can find at this link. This paper analyses Danish SuperLiga teams passing patterns when looking to create goal-scoring opportunities. This paper came from my thesis I completed as part of my MSc in Applied Mathematics from the University of Southern Denmark (SDU).

I am always looking to improve my skills in data science and AI and I am always looking for new ideas for creating insights about football.
